Over the last few weeks we have been working with Gateways Church in the Woodhouse area of Leeds to form a car parking area. We’ve also looked at disabled friendly access ensuring the church is accessible to all. This has included working with planning to ensure the best materials have been used for this listed building.
Works to Gateways Church included the formation of parking area. We did this using Marshall’s heritage kerbs and cobble sets as an edging. We then surfaced the area with Bituchem’s, Natratex Cotswold asphalt in accordance with the planning consent which had been given.
Other works at Gateways Church – Leeds, included the installation of a disabled friendly walkway to the front entrance using reclaimed Yorkshire stone flags bedded on a lime mortar mix. Once again in line with the planning consent given for the listed building.
Other isolated areas of cobbles were also lifted and re-laid to alleviate puddling in areas.
