We have recently completed the construction of a professional grade beach volleyball court at Farnley Academy in Leeds.
Our specialist groundworks teams have been on site for a 16 week programme and have completed the project on time and on budget. The project involved a full drainage system including herringbone drainage under the court, attenuation tank and hydrobrake. It was then connected into the existing surface water drainage.
Following excavation of the court area, our speciailist sub-contract joiners constructed the timber retaining structure. This also included a raised decking area finished with anti-slip decking boards.
The court itself is finished with layers of MOT Type 3 low fines stone, gravel and volleyball court grade sand sourced from Kent. Each layer was then seperated with a geotextile membrane. The surrounding fencing and gates were manufactured to suit the site and installed by our specialist fencing contractors. In terms of project value, this has been our largest job to date.
